Facilities

Located in the heart of Garhoud, the campus of the school provides a friendly learning environment. A variety of facilities are available at Al Khaleej National School.

Science Laboratories
The school has five science laboratories well equipped for the purpose of enhancing practical applications, demonstrations and experimentation. The physics labs are provided with additional facilities and equipment to teach electronics and digital analysis. Two laboratories each are located in the boys section and the girls section of the school and one in the new Primary school.

Media Rooms
There are three media rooms in the school, each is well equipped with an extensive array of equipment including computers and printers, Internet connection, promethean band multimedia projector and a variety of resources and additional equipment.

Library
we have two libraries containing learning and teaching resources that are available for all students. The school libraries also known as the Knowledge Support Centre (KSC) provides variety of interactive teaching resources.

Reading Area
A comfortable reading area is located in the boys section that provides an ideal atmosphere for boys to read, encouraging development and practice of this essential skill.

Computer Laboratories
Five Information and Communication Technology laboratories, each with 25 computers are available for students.

Music Rooms
Two rooms to support music and singing are available. A selection of percussion instruments, drums, recorder and traditional instruments is complemented by a piano.

On-Campus Mosques
Two mosques conveniently located on campus, one for boys and one for girls, enhances our preservation of traditional values.

Multi-Purpose Hall
The multi-purpose hall is equipped with sound, stage, lighting and equipment to support school events.

Kindergarten Play Area
Kindergarten students play in a safe and secure environment, designed especially for the enjoyment and capabilities of young children. The area is equipped with a variety of outdoor play equipment.

Football Pitch
A football pitch and grassed areas are ideal for outdoor sport activities.

Swimming Pool
The school features two swimming pools, one for the Elementary School students and the other for the Middle and High School students.

Gymnasium
An indoor recreation area, the gymnasium is used for indoor activities and sports as required.

School Gardens
The entire school is flanked with lovely greenways and gardens that give the school a pleasant atmosphere and plenty of space for students during break times.

Medical Care
The school has a well-equipped medical dispensary manned by two full-time, qualified Nurses and a doctor visiting the school 2 days per week. All cases of injury or illness receive medical attention; wherever specialized medical aid is required, emergency transport is available to take a student to hospital.

All students receive regular medical examinations and we work in close conjunction with Primary Health Care Section, Department of Health and Medical Services, Government of Dubai.

Book Store
Text-Books, work-books and stationery are available at the school store in accordance with prescribed books for each class and subject options.

School Canteen
The school canteen provides a food service during lunch and break times. It offers a range of healthy snacks and beverages. Hygiene and strict quality control of food are regarded as top priorities.

School Transport
Buses are available for transporting students to and from school, within Dubai and Sharjah. A list of charges is available with the school administrator.

Weather Station
The school has its own weather station with a probe located on the surface of the building.  Weather data is transferred through a wireless connection to the station controller for further study, analysis and to exchange recorded data.
